"We certainly enjoyed discovering "Undiscovered Britain" with the itinerary you drew up for us. We had no idea we would "time travel" as well as move about geographically with our excellent driver/guides. We were constantly amazed at the depth of their knowledge of the locales and sites we visited...as well as their command of the British roads and highways we traveled. Thank goodness we didn't have to cope with the city traffic, obscure lane ways and backroads they knew intimately. "Although it's been 3 years since Ann arranged our trip to Italy, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of my trip of a lifetime. I have plenty of pictures that I took during this trip to Rome, Florence and Venice, that I look at frequently. I had never traveled to Europe before and there were 4 of us that took the trip. Perfect is the only way to describe our trip. We met with Ann and she asked what we were all looking for and she made sure it all happened. The tour guides were fabulous, the hotels and mode of transportation from city to city perfect. She made sure nothing was left to be desired. In fact, I recommended her to one of my dearest friends and she arranged a trip for them to Italy and Germany that they enjoyed too. "We just returned from a trip to Ireland. What a wonderful time we had. We arrived in Dublin and joined a tour group set up by Undiscovered Britain & Ireland. This group consisted of a total of 14 people, 6 of which were handicapped and in wheel chairs or scooters. We traveled in a special 55 seat bus that was outfitted with an electric wheelchair lift and a special area where the seats had been removed to accommodate the wheel chairs and scooters and each could be secured to the floor for traveling in comfort.
The coach driver was a native of Dublin and knew the history of Ireland and its landmarks in great depth. He was a great tour director and narrator who was able to guide us and explain everything we came across on the tour. His name was Phelim and was a delightful person. We had a wonderful time."
"Ann, we had a wonderful time in Ireland! We met our driver, Phelim, on Monday evening. He was fantastic. He graciously and willingly accommodated everyone's requests.
Thanks to him, we learned a great deal about Irish history, as well as contemporary life. He answered all our questions and even gave each couple a map that he'd marked with our routes and stops. He deserves a gold medal for outstanding customer service. We'll be in touch in a few months to discuss the trip we want to make to Great Britain in the near future."
